In short: Print & Press: Shirts, Hoodies & Sweatshirts is a service from Roman Empire Print Shop where you supply the garment and we print and press your design on it using the same commercial DTF process and production presses we run for wholesale clients. It is for customers who already own their blanks or want to order them from any retailer, and pricing starts at $5.00 per garment for a front pocket logo, $10.00 for front or back, and $18.00 for front and back.

Already have the shirts? Bring them in or ship them to us and we print and press your design on them. Same commercial DTF process and the same presses we run for our wholesale clients, on your garment.

How it works

1. Order here. Pick your placements, set the quantity to the number of garments, and upload your artwork (PNG, 300 DPI, transparent background). One design per placement.
2. Get the garments to us. Bring them to the shop, or have them shipped straight to us.
3. We print and press. Commercial DTF, pressed on our production presses, ready in 1 to 3 business days after the garments and artwork are both in hand.
4. Pick up at the shop. Local service only. We do not ship pressed garments back.

Then put your retailer order number in the order notes at checkout here, and if the retailer gives you a gift note or delivery note field, put your Roman Empire order number in it. As long as the two orders reference each other, we match the box to your job the day it arrives. Boxes we cannot match are held for 30 days.

What we press on

Cotton, cotton blends, polyester, fleece and most performance fabrics. Nylon, waterproof shells and heavily textured fabric: ask first. We press what you send at your risk; we cannot replace a garment we did not supply.

Quick answers

How much does it cost to print on my own shirt?

Per garment: front or back is $10.00, front and back is $18.00, front pocket logo only is $5.00, and front pocket logo and back is $15.00. Sleeve prints add $2.50 for one short sleeve, $4.00 for both, $5.00 for one long sleeve and $7.50 for both, and the price updates as you pick placements.

Can I ship my garments to you instead of dropping them off?

Yes. Ship them to YOUR NAME c/o Roman Empire Print Shop, 822 6th Ave S, Great Falls, MT 59405, then put your retailer order number in the order notes at checkout and your Roman Empire order number in the retailer's gift or delivery note field. Boxes we cannot match to a job are held for 30 days.

How long does Print & Press take, and do you ship the shirts back?

Garments are ready in 1 to 3 business days after both the garments and the artwork are in hand. This is a local pickup service only; we do not ship pressed garments back.

What file should I upload for my design?

Upload a PNG at 300 DPI with a transparent background, one design per placement. Anything left in the background prints too, and art should be 300 DPI at the size it will print since upscaling a small file softens it.

What fabrics can you press on?

We press cotton, cotton blends, polyester, fleece and most performance fabrics. Ask first about nylon, waterproof shells and heavily textured fabric. We press what you send at your risk and cannot replace a garment we did not supply.

What press settings do you use for DTF?

Our DTF settings are 290 to 300 degrees F for 7 to 12 seconds. The film is hot peel: let it cool a couple of seconds, peel, then press again for 5 to 10 seconds with a textured Teflon sheet (or a similar pressing sheet) on top.

Is this DTF or UV DTF, and can you do hats?

This service uses DTF, which is for fabric and soft goods; UV DTF is for hard surfaces like tumblers, glass, wood and metal and needs no heat press. Hats are on their own Print & Press: Hats listing.
